The Liberal Democracy Movement is an independent movement of ideas in Northern Cyprus that advocates individual liberty, the rule of law, the free market, human rights, and pluralistic democracy. It develops ideas for a freer, fairer, and more open society, brings people together around shared values, and contributes libertarian solutions to public debate.

Individualism
Every individual has the right to determine the course of their own life. The role of the state is not to dictate people's choices, but to safeguard their rights and freedoms.

Human Rights
Fundamental rights and freedoms are inherent from birth and apply equally to everyone. No one should face discrimination because of their identity, beliefs, opinions, or way of life.

Free Market
Property rights, the freedom of enterprise, and fair competition are the foundations of economic prosperity. Rather than granting privileges, the state should ensure a free and predictable economic order.

Rule of Law
No individual and no public office is above the law. An independent judiciary, laws applied equally to all, and limited government are the safeguards of a free society.

We address the social and economic challenges of Northern Cyprus through a liberal perspective, contributing to public debate with research, events, and policy proposals. We work for an open society in which individuals play a stronger role in decision-making.
